Canine Good Citizenship

Welcome to our information page on preparing for the Canine Good Citizenship test! This title is offered through the American Kennel Club and is open to any breed of dog of any age.

We are just beginning offering this class, but plan to expand as demand allows. Our initial classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm at Haller Park in Arlington. We are open to suggestions any where in South Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and Snohomish counties as well! We may add different times on these days, or additional days as needs dictate. We will begin setting dates 2 weeks out from our first paid students for each day.

The fee for this class is $200, this includes 6 weeks of 1 hour lessons as well as your test at the end of the 6 weeks. You do not have to take this class to test with us on Test Days however you will need to pay a $20 fee on the day of the test to enter. There will be no refunds given if you decide not to finish the class or are asked to leave due to your dogs poor behavior.

These classes are NOT for aggressive dogs (You will be asked to leave the first time your dog shows any signs of aggression) or for dogs with zero basic skills in training (contact us about private lessons to get your dog up to speed, and for puppy owners we will soon be launching our STAR puppy class as well) If you are unsure if your dog would do well in these classes please reach out and I can help guide you!

Safety mandates will be in place during all classes. They will be held outside so please dress accordingly! Only 1 handler per dog is allowed, and your dog must come to every class with you to be eligible to test. Class size is limited to 5 teams. You will be required to sign a liability waiver and bring proof of vaccinations to the first class.
